Sears Window Review

Sears Windows are a SCAM! If even one person learns about Sears then it was worth my time to write this!

First, the windows are roughly TWICE as expensive as what Pella windows would be. For those that don't know, Pella is a rather higher-end window. High quality, high price. But at least PELLA is "high-quality".

The quality of the Sears Windows is laughable, except that some unknowledgable people get duped into buying them. When my husband asked what the insulation-value of the glass was, the reps couldn't (or wouldn't) even tell him! And it was noticably lacking from all the brochures they brought with them. They even pointed out, seriously, trying to distract him, the pictures of the pretty-window-styles.

That's right. THEY (as a team of them) insisted on coming to our house to give us a good estimate. What "they" really wanted to do was a "hard-sell" where they pressure the couple into buying the pretty windows. "They" were REALLY irritated that I wasn't going to be sitting in their sales-pitch. And "they" were even MORE irritated when my husband told them I didn't care if the windows were all that pretty as we were moving and getting the house ready to sell. Apparently, their sales pitch focuses on getting the weak-witted-female to say "oooooo, look at the pretty windows" and the weak-willed-male to say "oooooo, whatever she wants". No kidding. THEY have a plan. And its to take advantage of the elderly and the addle-witted.

And how do I know Sears is taking advantage of the elderly and the addle-witted? Because when my husband told them that he wouldn't sign a contract right that minute for a RIDICULOUS sum, they offered him a "one-time-only" offer of a discount. And when he refused, they offered him a little more of a discount. And, honest-to-goodness, thought that a hard-sell with intimidating and vaguely-threatening suggestion and tone would seal-the-deal. Then when that didn't work, they tried guilt. "Oh, I really need this sale ... " or "It was SUCH a long hard drive to get here ..." Yeah, people selling good windows at a good value SO often resort to guilt!

Me too! Because even if your local Sears is not run by horrible people, the money it makes for the company goes to the same people that hired and authorized the window-team-sales-group.

And, last week, shopping for a portable basketball goal I realized that Sears had one for about $330 that Walmart had the EXACT same for about $170! Not that I bought it, but I noticed. And now I just don't feel all that good about Sears. For anything.

THIS is what comes of getting in bed with K-Mart!

You guys are a joke! We just put in Sears replacement windows (12 windows and 4 patio doors) and the service was great. From the initial estimate meeting through the installation, the process was smooth and uncomplicated. We were given full disclosure on the window speacs, including the U-factor and SHGC for tax credit purposes. No problems with the installation either.

Yeah Pella sells some good stuff and some crap. The crap is about have the price of Sears. The good windows they sell cost more.

Sears is fine not cheap at all but they do good work and their high end window is a good product.

my rep described the windows as 'manufactured exclusively for Sears' and i found the presentation very helpful! after all the discounts applied we got double hung windows for nearly the same price as HD quoted for single hung windows. no complaints here - fingers crossed for the installation!

If you have any sense at all you would know the HUGE difference by the quality Sears offer concerning the windows and installation. Why would a billion dollar company with stock at $54 give or take, be as successful as they are by scamming people? 1886 Sears has been around, and it's not because of scamming people. Don't be stupid people, get pella windows and then try to get parts for them in 5 years from now..... lol good luck. Sears has parts available for windows they made 50 years ago. Fusion welded joints, soft baked glazing (which is super expensive for companies to do) as well as 100% virgin vinyl, un like the other company who used recycled materials for their vinyl windows (bc it's cheaper). If you choose Pella it's bc you know the name. If you buy Sears windows you get the most value back on your investment. Stop being stupid people, oh and I work for lowes in AZ so I'm an honest opinion to trust.

I’m impressed, I must say. Really rarely must i encounter a weblog that’s both educative
and entertaining, and let me tell you, you are able to
have hit that the nail for the head. Your notion is outstanding; that the pain is something that not enough
individuals have been speaking intelligently about.
My corporation is happy we found this at my seek out something regarding this.
