To husband: NO NO NO NO reading for you!

Cousin Camp! During the four day surprise-reunion-weekend I've decided to have a "camp" for the kids from 9:00 until noon, and then from 2:00 until 5:00, maybe a night session from 7:00 - 9:00. WITH "counselors". That would be the point, after all. The cousins get to do fun group-kiddie-activities together and the adults can actually relax and spend time with each other!

Scavenger hunts, and hikes with canteens and compasses and binoculars, and water guns, and "camp" movies like Charlie Brown's Race For Your Life, and crafts. Maybe an Easter Egg hunt (although it'll be June, those are still fun) and maybe change Italian menu night to a Thanksgiving theme, and I could decorate the kids "bunk" room with Christmas lights!

HA! Its an extra-great theme idea! All the holidays we miss spending together! And I have almost exactly a year to buy the holiday stuff on clearance right after the real holiday!

Then there's Valentines Day, and St. Patricks Day, and the Fourth of July, and ... Groundhogs Day?

We used to do that at camp!!! What a great idea! That will add some excitement of something to look forward to for the kids, as well as being able to have specified "kid time."
